Caddmandu was established in 1995 with the view to provide
quality MX Solutions and designs to the Civil Engineering
Industry.
Road and highway design forms the core of our business, ranging
from access roads, minor roads and intersection up-grades
through to major highway and interchange design.
Jason
started using MOSS at the age of 18 in 1986, with the then DMR
and over the past 20 yrs he has developed an extensive and sound
knowledge base using the MX software in various design platforms
both as an employee and contractor with the RTA and then with
other large local consultants, such as KBR, SMEC & GHD as a
contractor. Jason has experience as a designer, developer of
systems and trainer, which we believe, gives him a unique and
unsurpassed knowledge of the software.
From 2000-2004, Jason Cox through Caddmandu, provided
support, development and training services to Infrasoft and then
Bentley. The main focus of the contract was to provide these
services to the RTA, based around the service agreement with the
RTA and Infrasoft/Bentley. In addition to the services provided
to the RTA, Caddmandu also provided varied training courses and
support to various councils and private consultants.
Since then Caddmandu has been actively engaged in projects of
varying size and complexity, from detailed design of the new Port
Gateway project at Port Macquarie, with a four lane divided
carriage design from the Pacific highway into Port Macquarie on
the NSW mid-north coast; contracting to the Lane Cove Tunnel
project in various capacities for both the survey and construction
teams, ensuring data collected by the field surveyors was in a
usable format for the designers and adhering to the quality
procedures in place; to simple intersection design at the ANSTO
Complex at Lucas Heights, and more recently with the construction
teams on the Brisbane Airport Link and at the Kurnell Desalination
Plant assisting with design solutions that facilitate smooth construction
progress.
Over the years, Caddmandu has worked closely with survey teams on
various projects, including the Glebe Island Arterial & Anzac
Bridge construction. This has led to a first hand knowledge
of the specialised requirements of surveyors for setout and
construction purposes.
In 2005, Jason expanded his training portfolio by leading a
5-week training program for the National Highways Department in
Sudan. Over this time Jason trained 12 National Highway
Authority Engineers in MX, overcoming language and cultural
difficulties. This position was advertised worldwide. Since then
Jason has also led MX Update training for MWH in New Zealand.
Jason has been an active member of the MOSS/MX User Association,
since 1988 with Caddmandu sponsoring and organising the 1999
Sydney Conference. Jason has held various positions on the
Executive over the years such as President, Secretary and
Technical Coordinator and presenting Technical Papers and
Workshops at a number of Conferences.
Sue Christie-Cox of Caddmandu was the Conference Coordinator and
Convenor for the 2007 and 2008 Conferences in Perth and Adelaide.
Caddmandu has been a proud sponsor for the MX Conference since
1999.
